The Board of Works and Safety for the City of Attica met, pursuant to Public Notice, on Tuesday, June 15th, 2021, in the City Council Room.
Present was Board Member, Andy Smart and Chris Gayler, also present, Mayor Duane Roderick, and Clerk-Treasurer Joanne Broadwater.
Minutes from the previous meeting:
Gayler made a motion to approve the minutes from the June 1st, 2021, meeting, Smart seconded, all were in favor, and the motion passed.
Rodney Crist approached the board to express his thanks for Eric Swank looking at and taking care of his sewer issue.
Department Head Reports:
Director of Public Works, Eric Swank had nothing to report.
Acting Police Chief, Matt Powell provided an update on ordinance violations regarding resident trash cans.
Attica Fire Chief, Mike Little, was not present.
Building Commissioner, Jeff Pycke, was not present.
Economic Development Director, Rod Bannon, was not present.
Ian Lesko from HWC engineering opened the sealed bids for the Cities 2021 Community Crossing Grants. The bids were read aloud as follows:
- Rieth Riley $276,530.25
- DC Construction $345,299.02
- Milestone $263,775.00
- Midwest Paving $295,722.56
The bids were taken by HWC to review and certify prior to awarding the contract.
The claims were presented by Mayor Roderick, Gayler made a motion to approve claims, Smart seconded. All were in favor and the motion passed.
There being no further business, Smart made a motion to adjourn, Gayler seconded, the meeting was adjourned. The next Board of Works will be held on Tuesday July 6th, 2021 at 5:00pm, in person, in the City Council meeting room.
