The Board of Works and Safety for the City of Attica met, pursuant to Public Notice, on Tuesday, May 18th, 2021, at 5:00 P.M. in the City Council Room.
Present was Board Member, Andy Smart and Chris Gayler, also present, Clerk-Treasurer Joanne Broadwater.
Minutes from the previous meeting:
Gayler made a motion to approve the minutes from the May 4th, 2021 meeting, Smart seconded, all were in favor, and the motion passed.
Department Head Reports:
Director of Public Works, Eric Swank had nothing to report.
Acting Police Chief, Matt Powell had nothing to report.
Attica Fire Chief, Mike Little, was not present.
Building Commissioner, Jeff Pycke had nothing to report.
Economic Development Director, Rod Bannon, was not present.
Smart asked Pycke to look at a metal shed that is falling apart behind a house on W. Washington St. Smart stated he had a compliant.
Smart also stated he received a compliant about the W. Monroe St. area needing cleaned up, including the junk cars on S. Union St., property owned by John Smith.
Pycke stated he would check on both.
Smart made a motion to approve the utility credits, Gayler seconded, all were in favor, motion passed.
Utility Disconnects: None
The claims were presented by Clerk Treasurer Broadwater, Gayler made a motion to approve claims, Smart seconded. All were in favor and the motion passed.
There being no further business, Gayler made a motion to adjourn, Smart seconded, the meeting was adjourned. The next Board of Works meeting will be held on Tuesday June 1st, 2021 at 5:00pm, in person, in the City Council meeting room.
