Miscellaneous Business

HWC Engineering has reviewed pay application #17 from Thieneman Construction in the amount of $115,696.00.  Even though there is still pending items that are not completed, HWC said there is still retainage fees that we are holding as collateral until the work is done.  Smart made a motion to approve pay application # 17. Gayler made a second.  All were in favor and the motion passed.

Gayler asked if the weeds that are growing along US 28 as you enter Attica from the bridge over the Wabash could be cut by the City.  He feels they detract from the new sign and streetlights.  Indot is responsible for the grass/weeds along state highways, but in the meantime, if it is not done, it does not look attractive. Swank said the city will take care of it this time.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned, the next Board of Works meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 20th, 2019 at 4:30 pm.
