Greetings! The City of Attica wishes everyone a happy fall season. There have been a lot of exciting things happening. Sycamore Street is near completion and the City of Attica has also been awarded a Community Crossings Grant for $187,770.00. This will allow the city to do $250,000 in road repairs in 2018.
Attica Main Street continues to strive to keep Attica the place to be. We are currently working towards new receptacles, planters and benches for downtown.
The Twilight Music series has been a huge success and it wraps up for the year on Sunday, October 15th with 45 RPM, a British Invasion 60’s band. It will be at 7pm at McDonald Park. A big thank you to our sponsors.
We know that the school is the heart and soul of our community and we are excited to see the enthusiasm of our new high school principal, Mrs. Skinner, and the assistant principal, Mr. Jensen. They have shared some incentive ideas with Main Street and we plan to help support them.
Thanks to everyone that volunteered their time and efforts for our Community Celebration on July 1st and during our Heritage Day festival. Because of you Attica is the place to be.
