Park Newsletter

Hello Attica parents,

With school coming to a close that means the Attica Park program is gearing up for another great summer. The park program will start on June 5th and end on July 28th from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Monday through Friday. We will be working closely with the Williamsport park program again this year and we have some exciting programs planned. Some of the programs include explosions, Clint Jovillin survival school, the Girl Scout stem van, Hanging Rock zip lining, boat races, and so much more. Do not miss out on the amazing opportunities the Park Program offers for all children in the Attica area.

We will be offering an online application for parents to register their child/children for park program this summer. Thank you to all the parents who provided feedback last year to make this possible. There are several ways to access this application:

  1. Visit the Attica Park Program Facebook page
    1. Follow the link on the wall to complete the Google Form
    2. OR visit the about tab, and under story is a link to the Google Form
  2. Visit https://attica-in.gov
    1. Scroll to the bottom of the homepage and click on City forms
      1. The link to the Google Form will be under the Attica Park Program registration section
    2. OR under the Departments & Services tab you can find the application on the homepage of the Parks Department

There will be paper copies of the application available at the Attica City Building and at the Attica Elementary School if you are unable to access the online application as well. Applications are due June 2nd by 12 a.m. at the latest.

Everyday a free snack will be provided to all children who attend the Attica Park Program and lunch will be available at the Attica Elementary School after park program ends. With that being said, we will NOT be walking students over to the Elementary school this year for the lunch program. Please make arrangements if you would like your child to eat lunch at the school after park ends. Make sure your child/children know whether they are supposed to attend the lunch program as they will be going there on their own.

Last year we tested a smart phone application entitled Remind as a tool to send out announcements on field trip days, swimming days, and cancelations in case of weather. It was extremely beneficial and we will be using the same app this year. There is a portion on the registration form where you can enter in your cell phone number to receive these messages to see the announcements throughout the summer.

If you have any issues with the registration link or have any questions about Park Program this summer feel free to email the director Delainey Spragg at deespragg@yahoo.com . The Attica Park Program staff look forward to meeting your children on June 5th at 8 a.m. Go Parkies!
