Board of Works & Safety – January 15, 2013

The Board of Works and Safety for the City of Attica met, pursuant to Public Notice, on Wednesday, January 15 at 4:30 P.M. in the City Council Room. Present was Mayor, Robert Shepherd, City Clerk, Susan Stoll and Board Members, Duane Roderick & Dave Huckleberry. Also present was City Attorney, Tom O’Connor.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Minutes of the regular session held on January 2, 2013 were approved as prepared on a motion by Duane Roderick, seconded by Dave Huckleberry.

CITIZENS PETITIONS

There were no citizens Petitions to be presented to the Board.

DEPARTMENT HEADS REPORTS

Police Chief, Robert Brewer, reported that the new police vehicle is almost ready to pick up.
There were no other Department Head reports.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Dave Huckleberry made an inquiry about the work that Kyle Knosp is doing on his home that might be outside the work that was included in his permit. Mayor Shepherd was to follow up with Eric Dismore on this matter.

NEW BUSINESS

There was no New Business presented.

CLAIMS

Claims dated on January 15, 2013 for $76,165.23, as shown by the Allowance of Accounts Payable Vouchers, were presented to the board. Mr. Roderick made a motion to pay the claims, seconded by Mr.
Huckleberry.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS

Mayor Shepherd informed the board members of the current disposition by the City Council to not allow the Potawatomi Festival organizers, under the present officers, to use city grounds for the festival this year.

There being no further business to be brought before the board; Mr. Huckleberry made a motion to adjourn and Mr. Roderick seconded the motion.
